Our Story
Rivara Estate is the love and labor of five generations of coffee farmers.

Derived from the Punjabi word "Parivara", meaning family, this estate is our most treasured heirloom.
Nestled in the lush Mylemoney area of Chikmagalur our coffee is grown on the same land where the beans were first introduced to India over 300 years ago.
With optimal coffee growing conditions and an ideal elevation of 4300ft, Rivara is blessed with a rich landscape intertwined with tall silver oak trees, fine pepper crops, and of course, our coffee.

Conservation is one of the key pillars at Rivara and a quality that has been strongly held through generations at the Estate. We try our best to minimize tree felling while creating a safe and healthy environment for the local flora and fauna.

We do our part at Rivara to deliver uncompromised efforts; we treat coffee-growing as a science, taking into account the soil quality, moisture content, monitoring sugar levels, and investing in the latest technology.

We grow our coffee the way coffee was meant to be grown, in the shade. This kind of cultivation means there is less deforestation, less mechanization, less soil erosion, less pollution, fewer chemicals, increased biodiversity, better health conditions for farmers, and because we allow the coffee to thrive in its natural habitat it simply tastes better too.
